This is great news for college student. Jio will provide free Wi-Fi 38 thousand technical and non-technical colleges across India.
According to a Hindustan times report, JIO has already submitted their presentation to the human resource development (HRD) ministry of Government of India.
The presentation will be examined by the HRD department and take final decision.
The HRD minister Prakash Javadekar wants to confirm that fair chance given to all the telecom company.
According to Economictimes, the HRD minister Prakash Javadekar has already announced the launch of free Wi-Fi network to 38 universities that will come into effect from August 31 2017’’.
The lists for free Wi-Fi are:-
Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim university, Banaras Hindu University, Central university (Jammu, South Bihar,Himachal Pradesh), Jamia Milia Islamia University.
According to a Hindustan times report – through this free access to Wi-Fi, all students will be able to get internet connection and use educational resources such as online courses available on SWAYAM platform through the National Knowledge Network. The company plans to create hotspots for this.”
